An L.A. production recently shot a couple of days on location in Rhode Island. I got hired as Second Unit Prop Master. It was really fun. The scenes were a wedding reception by the ocean.
We created a fake hors d'oeuvres buffet for the "guests" and decorated the wedding tent.
Some of the food is real, some of it were things we faked to stay within our budget.
For example, the scallops were really white potatoes cut to look like scallops and drenched in lemon juice.
We used watered down apple juice to look like white wine.
Is that caviar??
Nope, it's tiny glass beads. Don't eat!

Multiple takes means multiple plate set ups for the female lead.
